Hi, my name is Faith!

I am not in the health care profession at all. I don’t have a Doctorate or PhD, or any degree for that matter.

However, I am a Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother (of three) & Successful Business Woman who has always had a natural thirst for knowledge. In ’04 when we became pregnant with our first child, like many first time mothers, I fell in love with becoming a mom and began reading and learning all I could about becoming the best mother I could. I also deeply longed to be a stay at home mom with our first born child. So, I began searching for ways to create an income from home.
In the beginning I wasted thousands of dollars and hours on scams or “get rich quick” type deals. I slowly began to find some success in a few different opportunities I tried but, it never was truly the success or opportunity I believed I was destined for so, in 2005 I once again found myself settling into a mediocre lifestyle and continued to yet again trade dollars for hours.

You see the more I read and learn the more I realize what a huge role health and nutrition plays in our every day lives. So over the years I have begun to transform our lifestyle into a more healthy “green” and organic, natural lifestyle.
I began searching online for a great multivitamin my whole family could use. I had published some articles online about a product I was reviewing and one day I began receiving several emails about the GBG business opportunity and one of their flagship products – the GBG 10-in-One Multi Vitamin. When things relating to health and business come across my desk, I immediately start looking for what I call “Scam Flags.”
Immediately, as I started looking for “Scam Flags,” I discovered some bad things about GBG.
So, What are “SCAM FLAGS?”
  1. Products that promise to be “THE NEXT BEST THING.” We all know discoveries in the science and health care industry vary as often as the weather. The next big ingredient, or product, is tomorrow’s big risk and is no longer good for you! In fact, sometimes it turns out to be harmful to you. Unless a product is truly unique, shortly after it’s usually replaced with the newest and greatest modification. Come on, we see it with everything – from toothpaste to electronics. There’s always the next best thing coming out.
  2. Products that claim to have a “MIRACLE INGREDIENT.” I’m so tired of hearing people tell me I need a product because it will perform all these health-related miracles! I took classes on nutrition as well as studied it on my own, and anyone who knows a little bit about nutrients and how the body works knows that there is not one single vitamin, mineral, or ingredient that keeps the human body running. Our ability to prolong and maintain good health depends on so many different “things” working together to keep our bodies functioning. And in the case of vitamins and minerals, many vitamins and minerals complement each other and need a proper balance in order for our bodies to maximize their miraculous properties.
  3. Products that claim that “WE HAVE THE ONLY PRODUCT LIKE THIS.” Rarely do you find a 100% unique product that doesn’t have a generic or similar counterpart to it. The amounts of nutritional value, specific ingredients, etc. may vary, but for the most part you can usually find something similar to the “hottest new thing” whether it’s cheaper or more expensive.

Usually the problem with all-in-one products is, unless the company that’s making the all-in-one product is following a specific recipe or measuring guidelines, you never truly know what you are getting and in what amount. This is called, in the world of supplements, a proprietary blend. Plus, I’ve always hated swallowing pills and I really like the idea of adding nutritional supplements to my diet. There have been many MLM companies that go out of business as fast as they got started! The big questions are: Is GBG going to be here for the long haul? I have thoroughly investigated the truth about the MLM industry and what I have found is this: The MLM industry has given average people the ability to earn extra income from home or even become rich from home – and they consistently produce phenomenal products (especially health and wellness ones)!

2. Business Opportunities that claim to “MAKE YOU RICH.” I’m so tired of seeing ads both online and offline as well as having people contacting me and telling me that their company or opportunity can make me a millionaire or that it has the BEST Compensation Plan or Pay Plan! I mean, granted, I haven’t been around the home based business industry as long as some, and I definitely don’t have any experience running a traditional offline business, but I do know a little bit about making money with a business and I know there’s no such thing as a get rich quick or overnight millionaire deal. Not to mention I’ve taken a few classes on business a few years ago and I know that any REAL business requires a REAL effort.
3. Business Opportunities that claim that “WE HAVE THE ONLY OPPORTUNITY OR PRODUCT LIKE THIS.” Rarely do you find a 100% unique opportunity that doesn’t have similar competition. Take for example the fact that WalMart was “the first” big all-in-one super store (now even with a grocery store, nail salon, and more in it), and now other stores like Target are following in their footsteps. That goes to show that basically no business model is fool proof to being copied or duplicated. While you may get a jump on the competition, eventually they’ll get the idea and follow suit.

As a kid I used to do things like sell candy, baby-sit, and much more to make money at a very young age… and my entrepreneurial spirit has never died! So, I then went on to review GBG as a Business Opportunity and its potential as just another home business. I interviewed people and checked the facts and success stories of many who are already creating huge successful GBG businesses.
These are the negative discoveries that I have made about GBG:
  1. It’s too INexpensive to get started – You are in business when you purchase ANY GBG product…the business comes with the product purchase for FREE*! The low price of the product has it’s perks in this tough economy, it also has a downside to it. Because you are not chucking out the average investment cost of a few hundred or even a few thousand dollars it usually takes to start a business, some people may not take the business seriously. However, this low start up cost can also actually be a good thing because the risk is low! People will join because they want to get healthy first, and then build a business because they love the product. Then they invest any funds they have into other key areas such as marketing and training.
  2. (Update 2010) GBG raised the price of their 10 in One product TWO TIMES in less than a year! I really can’t explain why the company did this, all I know is it hasn’t hurt the growth of GBG much.   3. (Update 2011) GBG REPLACED the liquid formula, added Sample Kits AND They’re going International??…In Dec 2010 GBG Announced they would be phasing out the liquid multi-vitamin formula, replacing it with the NEW ENHANCED 10 in One Chewable Tablets. (When they did that they also phased out the old www.shopgbg.com websites and replaced them with the new www.onlyatgbg.com ones) They also shared that they would begin the process for International Expansion…(more on that soon)
I personally hate disclaimers and cringe when I see things like a * so I thought I would quickly point out that the * means that in order for you to have your business for FREE, you must maintain an auto-ship for which ever product you’d like. If you don’t order, you won’t get paid. Not too bad, right?

(Update 2011: When I originally wrote this review the GBG Business Opportunity didn’t include the GBG Platinum package. I still feel the introductory price is way too inexpensive but, now industry leaders have a chance to create a larger income faster with the amazing Copyrighted Compensation Plan.)

Does a company that keeps changing prices spell trouble? I have no idea but, I do know that…

I had heard about GBG a few years back and thought it looked interesting. But, I had tried a few things like this in the past that didn’t work out for me, so I wasn’t sure.

Again, I will point out that GBG is an MLM/Network Marketing company. While that does make it somewhat original (compared to traditional business) there are now hundreds of network marketing companies or MLM Business Opportunities all over the world!
There have been many MLM companies that go out of business as fast as they got started! The big questions are: Is GBG going to be here for the long haul? (If you are going to partner with GBG and tell people about it, you want people to be able to trust you!) What makes GBG different from the other network marketing companies? Can you believe in the company?
I have done quite a bit of research on GBG and scam reviews to help address all of these questions.
Let us first put to rest the question of a few about GBG being an MLM/network marketing company. I have thoroughly investigated the truth about the MLM industry and what I have found is this: The MLM industry has given average people the ability to earn extra income from home or even become rich from home! But, in order to succeed, it does require some effort on your part and the proper training and equipping, just like with any new job or business you embark on.
Now I will address the other questions at hand regarding what sets GBG apart from the competition (besides the Copyrighted Pay Plan and the Awesome Leadership, which I reviewed a bit above!)…

First, let me note that there’s info all over the web about the 10-in-One multi-vitamin supplement and that it is chock full of ingredients, saying that it has just about everything your body needs in one bottle. This definitely looks like a scam. My first question was “Can this even be safe?”
All-in-all, is the GBG 10-in-One product a scam? Based on my research, I’d have to say NO.
